Mind

Doors of the Mind

Have you ever wanted to unlock the mysteries of your mind? There is a game people play and it is called Red Door, Yellow Door. It is a “paranormal game”, which has made a resurgence the past 5 years. Typically, teenagers and college students have been engaging in this game. This ritual is also known as “Black Door, White Door” or “Doors of the Mind”. One person acts as a guide, puts you into a trance and leads you through doors and rooms in your mind. To play this game you need at least 2 people.

Many people describe the trance as an awaken dream state, often following the other person’s voice as a guide through this dream world and deciding together which doors to take. The person in the trance is encouraged to answer all questions honestly until the guide decides to end the game. But beware, there are some warnings and signs of danger to keep in mind. To avoid the danger, there is an extensive list of rules you should follow, in order to come out of the game safety. Something I have notice is that the list of rules do not start the game in the right direction. Granted, this is to explore the inner workings of your mind, but it may be best at the beginning to state out loud that you just want to be exposed to your highest good. You and your guide should also state you would only allow positive and loving energy in the game. Hopefully, this would help with some of the issues that can occur within the game.

That being said, there are tons of YouTube videos of people playing the Red door, Yellow door game. If you are curious, they are interesting to watch. I personally have not tried the game. It does seem to have the potential to help you gain greater knowledge about yourself. Will I try this in the future? I am not sure at this point, but it was interesting to learn about.

Astrological Psychology

Have you tried everything you can think of in the attempt to figure out the issues in your life? Has traditional methods of psychology not provided you with the results you needed? Perhaps you should give another form of psychology a try. Get ready for it… Astrological Psychology with a Psychological Astrologer. Astrological Psychology is a branch of psychology which uses Astrology as a diagnostic tool. It can also be used as a resource and guide on life’s journey. It also encourages us to take full responsibility for ourselves and our actions.

How did Astrological Psychology get started? This is due to Carl Jung. Carl Jung’s views in psychology, and his later interest in astrology, resulted in an important research study in this area. Astrology, for Carl Jung, is the summation of all ancient knowledge of psychology. The twelve signs configure what Carl Jung called “archetypes”, which are psychological patterns or models that inhabit the collective unconscious. He declared on multiple occasions that he verified that certain psychological states or specific events correlated with planetary movement.

You are now probably wondering, what can this do for me exactly? Psychological Astrologer, Dr. Jennifer Freed, PhD, states that people want to understand why things are happening. They want to know is this an issue within me, or is it something happening to me? “I can tell by the charts and the cycles, whether your problem is something within you — that’s your intrapsychic conflict, or if it’s an external event that’s a part of a cycle that you’re being asked to learn from.”

Now, with some insight on the benefits of Astrological Psychology, would you be open to trying this type of psychology? Personally, I think it might be worth it, just to see if you could gain any additional insights on an issue in your life that can’t seem to be explained.

IKEA: A Relationship Killer?

Have you ever been on a road trip with a significant other and realized that after spending so much time together and disagreeing on everything that maybe your relationship will not work? I think at some point, people have had an eye opening experience while traveling with each other, in which they would not have gained until much later in the relationship. Well, move over road trip, there is a new King in town that will test your relationship and that King is IKEA.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, relationship experts state that a trip to Ikea will lead to an argument.

Ramani Durvasula, Santa Monica, Calif., therapist spoke with the Wall Street Journal and explained the thinking behind why furniture building is a “pressure cooker” environment:

‘Walking through the kitchens brings up touchy subjects, like who does most of the cooking. Then you get to the children’s section, which opens up another set of issues. And that’s before you’ve even tried assembling anything.”

Ramani Durvasula also stated that, “Furniture assembly often causes more friction than the shopping experience, according to March data from consumer research firm CivicScience. It surveyed nearly 7,000 adults and found that among those who assemble furniture together, 17% said they always get into arguments, compared with only 6% who said they often argue while shopping together.”

Ramani Durvasula has embraced the retailer as an exercise tool for communication. She requests couples to put together a large piece of IKEA furniture at home and has them report back to her on how it went. This exercise is supposed to bring a couple together, or highlight the major problems in their relationship.

So, the next time you are wondering if this person is a the “one”, maybe you should go buy some large IKEA furniture to make sure.

Different Methods of Meditation

Meditation is Amazing! It can help you obtain better health and a happier life. It does take time to master, as does any other skill. If a person sticks with it and is willing to experiment with the different methods, they are more likely to discover a meditation style that suits them.

There are numerous styles of meditation such as some having a movement component to them and some focusing more on the stillness of your body.

  • Metta Meditation: The goal is to develop love and kindness towards everything. This includes anything that may stress you out and even developing an understanding and an inner peace with your enemies.
  • Mindfulness Meditiation: The purpose of this meditation is to stay in the present (I am particularly horrible at this meditation). Mindfulness meditation is something people can do almost anywhere. Such as waiting in line, for example, you may focus on the sights, sounds, and smells you experience in the moment.
  • Mindful Breathing Meditiation: This form of meditation which focues on breath awareness and offers many of the same benefits as mindfulness meditiation.
  • Transcendental Meditation: This is a spiritual form of meditation where you are in the seated position and are also breathing slowly. The goal is to transcend or rise above the person’s current state of being. This can also be done by choosing a mantra or a repeated word or series of words.
  • Dance Meditation: (My Favorite) This is a great way to exercise your mind and have an emotional release by allowing yourself to express what you feel through movement.
  • Float Therapy: Meditation is conducted while you float in water. Floating can take place in a closed cabin or pod, with lighting or in total darkness, and with or without music. The water temperature trys to match your temperature and salt is added to help you float.
  • Kundalini Yoga: is an active meditation that utilizes movements with deep breathing and mantras.

Mystical Hertz Sound Therapy

Mystical or Magical, what is Hertz Sound Therapy? I stumbled upon this while on YouTube and it really has helped when I am feeling emotional or stressed out. Apparently, you can use different sound frequencies to intercept your brainwaves and promote healing on a physical level. Basically, Sound has been used as a healing tool for centuries and is still regularly utilized by many alternative health care centers and cultures. Traditional sound therapy tools are Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, drumming therapy, and even chanting.

I have checked out ton of websites and the gist of how it works which was stated best by SHAPE writer Ashley Mateo, “WTF is Sound Healing, really?”. By using specific rhythms and frequencies, you can slowdown your brain from the beta state (which is normal consciousness) to the theta state (which is relaxed consciousness) and then even to the delta state (where internal healing can occur).

Now back to how you can check it out for FREE!!!

I love YouTube for HZ Frequency music, below are some links to creators that I like to boogie down to:
