Aliens: They are Here

How do you feel about Aliens? Have you thought about the stars and galaxies of as late? Do you wonder what lifeforms are dancing about on other planets and solar systems? I was watching Men in Black and decided that is would be pretty darn cool to hang out with Aliens. But, what if I told you they were already here? According to the New York Post, Former Israeli space security chief for 30 years, Haim Eshed, stated that aliens exist and that they are choosing to remain hidden from the public. The reason being that “humanity isn’t ready” for them to reveal themselves yet. “Trump was on the verge of revealing [aliens’ existence], but the aliens in the Galactic Federation are saying, ‘Wait, let people calm down first,’” Eshed, who helmed Israel’s space security program from 1981 to 2010, reportedly stated, “They don’t want to start mass hysteria. They want to first make us sane and understanding.”

Regarding the question of why the aliens would be communicating with humanity in the first place, Eshad had an answer for that as well. “There’s an agreement between the US government and the aliens. They signed a contract with us to do experiments here. They, too, are researching and trying to understand the whole fabric of the universe, and they want us as helpers.”

He is not the only individual in the space industry to claim we have had contact with Aliens. Numerous individuals from a company called Lockheed over the years have claimed to work with Alien technology or have come in contact with Aliens. Lockheed is actually the Lockheed Martin Corporation. It is an American aerospace, defense, arms, security, and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests. Ben Rich, the “Father of the Stealth Fighter-Bomber” and former head of Lockheed Skunk Works, had once leaked information about Extraterrestrial UFO Visitors are real and the U.S. Military Travel to the Stars. He also publicly stated that “We now have the technology to take ET home.”

According to Jack Brewster from Forbes, the US Pentagon in 2020, formally released three unclassified videos taken by US Navy pilots of “unidentified aerial phenomena,” a step that comes after years of progress towards government transparency surrounding unidentified flying objects. The videos, which were first published by the New York Times in 2017, show fast-moving oblong objects racing through the sky and a pilot, in one video yelling, “Look at that thing, dude — it’s rotating!”. Following the 2017 Times report, the US Navy formalized a process allowing pilots to report encounters with aerial phenomena; in 2019, the US Navy confirmed an uptick in UFO sightings.

US Senator Harry Reid tweeted:

“I’m glad the Pentagon is finally releasing this footage, but it only scratches the surface of research and materials available. The U.S. needs to take a serious, scientific look at this and any potential national security implications. The American people deserve to be informed.”

I figure that since the Aliens have been living among us all these years, it would be great if we can have more interaction with them. Who knows, maybe in 20 years parents will be asking their kids if they want to join a Starfleet Academy.

2021 Predictions

I am ready for 2020 to be over. Once it is complete, I begin to wonder what will 2021 bring? In regards to Numerology, 2021 is known as a 5 year. Since 5 is the midpoint between 1 and 9, this 5 Year is an opportunity for the world to create a path toward all the possibilities in life. The number 5 also carries the energy of knowledge and skills, making 2021 a time to open your mind and learn more about what you’re curious about, especially in the areas that give you joy. Energy will also affect people worldwide. Important research that is being done will lead to new understanding, and exploration of new horizons which will become a common topic for everyone. Creating stability through the act of change will be the global theme. For you as an individual, everything just described creates the backdrop for your Personal Year number.

The forecast for 2021 utilizing Numerology seems very favorable but what about Astrology? Demian Allanis a teacher at the College of Psychic Studies in London, and has practiced western astrology for more than 20 years. Below is the forecast from the TheGuraidan.com:

We have covered predictions from Numerology and Astrology and I will now present predictions from a Psychic. South Londoner Nicolas Aujula, 35, not only predicted the Coronavirus but also Trump losing the US election, as well as global protests in 2020. According to the Sun, Nicolas has predicted that in 2021 the Coronavirus will plateau after the new year and infection rates will be under control by the spring. However, the panic and restrictions around the virus will go on until 2022. He also predicts that he sees protests around the world continuing for the next two to three years and includes visions of civil unrest. He also predicts a mass movement of people, with “thousands” moving countries in one go. Elsewhere, he has seen visions of Rishi Sunak resigning, a fire raging through New York, USA – and potential heartbreak for three A-List celebrities.

Whatever this year brings, I wish you happiness and good fortune. I am glad that 2020 is leaving and we are on our way to a new beginning.

5 Fascinating Facts for the New Year

Since the New Year is approaching and I think everyone wants 2020 to be over with, I thought it would be good to dive into some facts about celebrating the New Year.

Below are 5 facts in regards to New Years Eve and a New Years Day.

The earliest recording of a new year celebration is believed to have been in Mesopotamia, c. 2000 B.C. and celebrated around the vernal equinox, in mid-March. The Egyptians, Phoenicians, and Persians began their new year with the fall equinox, and the Greeks celebrated it on the winter solstice. The first time the new year was celebrated on January 1st was in Rome in 153 B.C. The new year was moved from March to January because that was the beginning of the civil year, the month that the two newly elected Roman consuls, began their one-year tenure. In medieval Europe, however, the celebrations accompanying the new year were considered pagan and in 567 the Council of Tours abolished January 1st as the beginning of the year. In 1582, the Gregorian calendar reform restored January 1 as new year’s day. Although most Catholic countries adopted the Gregorian calendar almost immediately, it was only gradually adopted among Protestant countries. The British, for example, did not adopt the reformed calendar until 1752. Until then, the British Empire still celebrated the new year in March.
Despite the Gregorian calendar being globally recognized, many countries follow different timetables. So some cultures observe New Year’s on a different day! As weird as it may sound, there’s some debate as to which is the first country to celebrate the New Year. While January first is certainly celebrated there, the New Year celebration in India actually has many different dates. Rongali Bihu is celebrated in mid-April, on the first day of the Hindu solar calendar. But the specific day of celebration changes from region to region.
In Egypt, the New Year’s Day celebration changes according to the moon. But, unlike other countries that go the lunar route, here the festivities do not begin until a crescent moon is sighted!
Another country that celebrates a New Year in April, Cambodia has a 3-day long holiday that is dictated by the end of their harvest season. It follows the same lunar calendar as India, in which the New Year begins when the sun enters the sign of Aries.
One of Colombians’ favorite ways to celebrate the New Year is to carry an empty suitcase around the block. The tradition is meant to bring celebrants a year of travel (which hopefully will involve a little more packing).

Kundalini Yoga

I decided the other day that I was going to participate in Kundalini Yoga. First Step, I ordered a DVD off of Amazon. I know what you are thinking, “Silly, you can just complete a Kundalini Yoga Class on the Internet.” and my reply would be “I am 90’s old school. I live, breathe, die, DVD.” I manage to find a DVD by GAIAM made in the 2000’s (Breaking my 90’s rule, but c’est la vie). The DVD is called, in case you want to try as well, Gurmukh’s Kundalini Yoga. Now, before I tell you the results of the Kundalini Yoga, I want to at least let you know why I tried it.

I have a love/hate relationship with exercise in general. I love what it does for me, but hate having to leave my chair. This love/hate relationship plagues me the most in the winter. Where I live, it is raining and cold and the chair is so snug and warm. I promise this blog is not about the attributes of my glorious chair, but about Kundalini yoga. According to Gaiam’s website, Kundalini yoga is a blend of Bhakti yoga (the yogic practice of devotion and chanting), Raja yoga (the practice of mediation/mental and physical control) and Shakti yoga, (for the expression of power and energy).

Kundalini is a form of divine feminine energy believed to be located at the base of the spine, in the muladhara. It is an important concept in Śhaiva Tantra, where it is believed to be a force or power associated with the divine feminine or the formless aspect of the Goddess. This energy in the body, when cultivated and awakened through tantric practice, is believed to lead to spiritual liberation. Overall review of the DVD, I will do Kundalini yoga again and I am extremely out of shape. There was a lot of arm movements. The DVD was 1 hour and I was so tired afterwards. I was also light-headed. I had a moment of excitement when I thought I had a spiritual break though. I didn’t though, just out of shape. That is why I am going to give it another go. Was I just light headed or for a brief second did I experience a Kundalini moment. I think the more I get in-shape, it will be easier to discern.

The Magic of Water

Growing up, we have been told that our bodies is made of 70% water. Since our bodies have so much water, it is only natural to wonder how it effects us. Dr. Gerald Pollack, who is one of the leading premier research scientists in the world when it comes to understanding the physics of water, and what it means to your health.

His book, The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor, explains that the fourth phase as living water. It’s referred to as EZ (“exclusion zone”) water, which has a negative charge. Water can hold energy, much like a battery, and can deliver energy too. Also, the book went through experiments to demonstrate that the boiling point and freezing point can be at multiple temperatures, not just one. Other inherent differences between regular water and EZ water include its structure. Typical tap water is H2O but this fourth phase is not H2O; it’s actually H3O2. December is known for some large holidays and Winter Solstice. I want to get down to the unique and unusual things this month offers. Please see some interesting facts below, all thanks to a great article from Reader’s Digest:

New Year’s Eve ever year brings around a million revelers to Times Square every year. So what is unique about them? A lot of them are wearing diapers, Adult Diapers. Apparently, due to a lack of toilets, some adults wear diapers while ringing in the new year in Times Square.

Eating fried chicken on Christmas in Japan is a time-honored tradition. Starting in 1974, Kentucky Fried Chicken got in on the action by asking the people of Japan to show thanks for Christmas by enjoying a bucket of KFC. People in Japan order up their finger-licking-good Christmas chicken months in advance—to the tune of about 3,000,000 orders of KFC each year.

The city of Mobile, Alabama, Since New Year’s Eve 2008, raises a 12-foot tall lighted mechanical Moon Pie to celebrate the coming of the New Year. Over 50,000 people are on hand to party the night away as they await the main event: ringing in the new year when the giant Moon Pie drops at midnight, along with a laser show and fireworks.

On New Year’s Eve, residents in a small neighborhood in Johannesburg, South Africa, collect old appliances, carry them up to apartment building rooftops and toss them down to the streets far below.

In Denmark and the Netherlands, folks ring in the New Year by shattering dishes across the doors of houses of their family and friends. We assume (or at least, hope) that the dishes are ones the New Year’s revelers don’t mind losing because smashing a dish is pretty much irreversible.

In Spain, the New Year’s tradition for good luck revolves around grapes. If you can manage to stuff 12 grapes in your mouth at midnight you’ve achieved good luck for the next year.

Boxing Day is an English tradition the day after Christmas. It got its name because it’s the day on which families would literally “open the box” (the alms box) to the poor. Traditionally, every church in England had an alms box, into which people would place money intended for donation. The box was opened on Boxing Day, and the contents were distributed to those less fortunate in the parish. The tradition continues today.

Festivus: This holiday for “the rest of us” arrived in popular culture in the 1990s thanks to the television show, Seinfeld, but it’s really been a thing since 1966 in the household of Dan O’Keefe, the television writer credited with writing the episode.

It’s a Wonderful Life, a Christmas film, premiered in 1946. For the first 10 years after it’s premier this Christmas classic, was on the FBI’s radar as suspected Communist propaganda. Why? Well, supposedly it tended to make bankers seem heartless and vindictive. The film was exonerated in 1956.

Christmas Witches

I was thinking about Santa Claus today and was wondering if there are any other traditions out there. A tradition not well know in the United States is the Christmas Witch. Depending on the country you are from the witch can be benevolent or slightly darker. Below is a list of Christmas Witches.

Perchta: The Germanic Christmas Witch: Perchta has two forms; she may appear either as a beautiful and white-robed female or as an elderly and suffering spirit. Perchta is known as the one who likes to reward the hard-working, and her generosity in gift-giving is particularly well-known during the twelve days of Christmas. Folk legends of Austria and Bavaria tell us that Perchta usually wanders around the countryside, and also has the habit of going into houses. Upon entering the house, she checks whether the owners cleaned the house well before Christmas, and also finds out whether the children behaved well during the year and were obedient. I would suggest being good because the punishment does not really fit the crime. Perchta’s punishments are horrible. One of her favorite penalties involves ripping out the sinful’s intestines to replace them with garbage and straw.

La Befana: The Kind, Italian Christmas Witch: In Italy, celebration for La Befana ( the Christmas witch) is on the 6^th of January, and it marks the end of Christmas festivities. Legends say that, on the night between the 5^thand the 6^thshe flies above our roofs on her broomstick and, once we are all fast asleep, she gets into your homes through the chimney and leaves presents and candy into stockings. Good children will receive lovely gifts, whereas naughty ones will get only coal.

The Baker and the Christmas Witch: The story of the baker’s dozen dates to the early nineteenth century and was brought to the U.S. by Dutch immigrants. The story goes that a beggar-woman asks a baker for a dozen cookies, which she specifically tells him is thirteen. He turns her away a few times and in return he’s punished with bad luck. Cookies and baked goods don’t rise and other problems occur because of his greed and lack of compassion. The baker prays to Saint Nicholas for help and when he bakes another batch of cookies and they are perfect. The Christmas witch returns. The baker now knows she is a witch with magical powers, and again she asks him for a dozen cookies. He gladly gives her thirteen, and she tells him the curse has been lifted. The baker’s business thrives once more. The witch has a clear connection with Saint Nicholas in this story, and therefore can be called a Christmas witch.

Gryla, Iceland’s Christmas Witch: Gryla has been around since the 13th century, when tales of her exploits spread via word of mouth. The name Grýla translates as “Growler”. According to the tales, she comes down from the mountain to steal naughty children, much like Krampus. She is often depicted carrying a basket on her back with which to collect the children. Instead of delivering them to the Netherworld, Grýla instead boils children alive which she consumes in a stew, as she is said to be constantly hungry. It’s not just children she eats. Grýla is said to be on her third husband, having killed the first two (one of whom she then ate). She also has an evil cat. The Yule Cat (Jólakötturinn), roams the countryside and devours anyone who isn’t wearing some new piece of clothing.

For this year, I am hoping La Befana makes it to my door. I am hoping the others do not have my address.

5 Facts about Winter Solstice

As you may know, this Winter Solstice will be graced by a rare event this year. This year, for the first time in history of the Winter Solstice, Saturn and Jupiter will look like a “double planet” and provide an extraordinary amount of light on December 21st. This got me thinking as to why the Winter Solstice is important other than it is the shortest day of the year. Below are 5 interesting facts about the Winter Solstice.

The word “Solstice” derives from Latin, meaning “Sun stands still”. Solstice derives from the Latin scientific term solstitium, containing sol, which means “sun,” and the past participle stem of sistere, meaning “to make stand.” This comes from the fact that the sun’s position in the sky relative to the horizon at noon, which increases and decreases throughout the year, appears to pause in the days surrounding the solstice.
The Winter Solstice occurs at a particular time and moment. The Winter Solstice occurs on a specific day, but it also occurs at a specific time of day, corresponding to the instant the North Pole is aimed furthest away from the sun on the 23.5 degree tilt of the Earth’s axis. This is also the time when the sun shines directly over the Tropic of Capricorn.

3. The Shortest Day of the Year of marks the discovery of new and strange worlds. On December 21, 1620, the Pilgrims arrived at Plymouth to found a community which would allow them to worship freely. Same dday in 1835 HMS Beagle sails into Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Pierre and Marie Curie discovered radium the same day in 1898. And the Apollo 8 spacecraft launched on 21 December 1968, becoming the first manned moon mission. The Eleven of 12 former Soviet republics form commonwealth on December 21, 1991.

4. Festival of Saturnalia in the Ancient Rome Empire. The Roman holiday, which began as a festival to honor the agricultural god Saturn in 497 BCE, soon became a time of widespread revelry and debauchery during which social roles were reversed, with masters serving their slaves and servants being permitted to taunt their masters. Then over the centuries, Saturnalia was slowly replaced by Christmas but many of its rituals remain as traditions of Christmas.

5. Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year for the Northern Hemisphere. The daytime lasts 7 hours and 49 minutes in London, 9 hours and 15 minutes in New York, and 9 hours and 20 minutes in Beijing. On this day, the Northern Hemisphere receives the least amount of solar energy, about 50% less than the Southern Hemisphere. Stonehenge is aligned to the sunset on the Winter Solstice. The primary axis of the megalithic monument is oriented to the setting sun, while Newgrange, another structure built around the same time as Stonehenge, lines up with the winter solstice sunrise.

Rare Planetary Alignment

I don’t know if there are any Dark Crystals fans out there, but I am super stoked for this Planetary Alignment. Why? Why? How could you even ask Why? This is basically the Great Conjunction, now let it sink in as I weave the tapestry of amazement. According to Forbes, Saturn and Jupiter will look like a “double planet” and provide an extraordinary amount of light on December 21st, which happens to fall on the Winter Solstice. The last time these two planets aligned like this was on March 4, 1226, according to astronomer Patrick Hartigan at Rice University.

Some are stating this as the only great conjunction to ever occur on the winter solstice. Astrologers are saying that at this alignment things on earth will change in a significant way. The Great Conjunction, is set to shake things up politically, socially, and in your personal life as well. Many astrologers consider this to be the the kick-off to the Age of Aquarius. Also, the Solstice is a time where the veil between dimensions is thin. It is also a time where we are more open and connected with the energies of the Earth.

The next Great Conjunction will happen on Halloween of 2040, but the next time the two planets will appear this close will be March 15, 2080. You are probably wondering why I brought up the Dark Crystal. To begin with the movie also dealt with a Great Conjunction. I think Jim Henson is on to something, now just replace the characters with people today….it will be fun to see what December 21, 2020 will bring.
